World Heritage Nomination

Parramatta Park is one of eleven sites that form a serial nomination for World Heritage Inscription. The sites have been chosen for their ability to show the out standing universal values found in Austalia's convict history.

Where is Parramatta Park ?

Parramatta Park is located on the western edge of the Parramatta CBD. It is an easy 15 minute walk from Parramatta or Westmead railway stations or the Rivercat terminal on Parramatta River. The parklands estate includes the Parramatta Golf Course and the domain lands on Mays Hill, Old Kings Oval, the Parramatta Memorial Swimming Centre and extensive riverine areas along the Parramatta River. 

 

If you are on foot, the best entry points are from O'Connell, Pitt, Macquarie and George Streets on the eastern boundary; Queens Road and Park Avenue to the west and Great Western Highway to the South.

Gate Hours of Operation

Gates open 6 am to 6pm (6 am to 8 pm during Daylight Savings). Note that the Queens Road gate opens 10 am to 3 pm Monday to Friday.

The Park Administration Office is open Monday to Friday 9 am to 4.30 pm.
