CRAVE FESTIVAL PICNIC @ PARRAMATTA PARK
Parramatta Park
Parramatta Park has been Sydney’s big backyard for 150 years and and is an historical icon. Its big open spaces on the banks of the Parramatta River have been a favourite place to soak up many a sunny weekend. It even had its own “beach” on a bend in the Parramatta River, known by the locals as “Little Coogee”.
On Sunday 25 October spread out your picnic rug at one of our three special locations to experience the history and picturesque setting of this great parklands estate. Bring a picnic or order a delicious picnic hamper from the Parramatta Park Cafe
Circket @ Old Kings Oval games starts at 2.30pm
Cheer on the Parramatta First Grade cricket team as they take on the Campelltown-Camden team in a fast-paced 20/20 game. Picnic under the spreading stone pine trees that ring the beautiful 19th century cricket oval of Old Kings at Parramatta Park. Enjoy the village green setting and enjoy a fast paced 20/20 cricket game. Bring your boater and plenty of ginger beer and enjoy a lazy afternoon punctuated by the thwack of leather against willow.
Old Kings Oval is located inside Parramatta Park behind the Parramatta Stadium. Entry off O'Connell Street through Parramatta Stadium car park. Parking available in the Swimming Pool car park and Parramatta Stadium.
Little Coogee @ Parramatta Park 12 noon to 4.00 pm
Relax along the banks of the river beneath shady trees next to the Parramatta Park Café and enjoy the smooth sounds of some of Sydney's leading DJs, Spruce Lee, Magic Happens and Jimmy Sing. This is located at Parramatta's former swimming place, wittingly referred to as Little Coogee. Bring your picnic or buy a gourmet picnic hamper from the Parramatta Park Café.
Little Coogee is located on the riverbank inside Parramatta Park next to the Parramatta Park Café.
Enter Parramatta Park through the Queens Road entrance or Macquarie Street entrance and drive to the Parramatta Park Cafe (2.2 km inside the park).

The Dairy Cottage Garden 11.30am to 3.30pm
Our storytellers Sue Alvarez and Christine Greenough (The Talespinners) and Kiran Shah will keep the kids entertained amongst the garden beds of this old Colonial cottage. Don't miss the Three Little Pigs puppet theatre performance plus there's plenty of nearby space for ball games and a vehicle-free cycle track.
