Meet the people of Governor Macquarie’s Domain at Parramatta Park. Living history tableaux and small theatrical performances make connections with the people and voices of Macquarie’s world. You will serendipitously come across servants, military personnel and government officials as they go about their business in the Domain. Engage in conversation with George Jarvis, the Governor’s Indian Manservant; Sgt Whalan and other members of the vice-regal mounted guard; Mary Rouse, young Lachlan Macquarie’s teenage nursemaid; or Commissioner Bigge or one of his clerks. Eight performance days will be presented throughout the year by re-enactment specialists, Historica.
